Ochlerotatus increpitus

Ochlerotatus increpitus is a common, single-brooded mosquito found throughout much of the county.  Although it is most typically associated with willow-shaded pools filled with water left from receding rivers and streams, its larvae may also be collected in a variety of other habitats.  Image from Carpenter & LaCasse, 1955.
